Thanks for a great organisation and website! Here below is my personal history.
Discovered a growth on my hand and had it checked up with x-ray and following MRI was diagnosed with melorheostosis. Very surprised that they were able to make such a fast diagnosis after I have read all the other personal stories on this website. Had never had any signs or problems before I noticed the growth on my hand. I am currently not in any severe pain, the wrist is aching if I do push ups. I have a hard time understanding if it is good or bad for me to exercise, I don't want the bones to grow anymore. Bone growth is not very big, but soft tissue is affected. My doctor said that the soft tissue can lighten up.
Scheduled for follow up x-ray and MRI in about 6 months.
